The thin tendrils wrapping around each other elegantly in a dance of silver.
He has broad muscled shoulders. His shoulders run to his muscled arms. His black t-shirt is loose and hangs down a little past his hips. Little veins show over his long arms. Light colored hair covers his forearms and his biceps are thick with muscles. His wrists are thick and bony. He has large but thin hands, like a piano player. His hands are calloused and muscled. His nails are trimmed, short and bitten. The black pants he wears are fitted around his concrete legs. Their tailored style cling to him. They hang past his ankles leaving well enough room for boots underneath. His large feet are wrapped in black polished shoe
Background
Griffin "Seraph" Caine born in 638 AD. His parents lived in the mediterranean. They owned a little tavern/inn. They did quite well for themselves. He was raised to help them cook and clean. He was a quiet boy who was never much of a talker or trouble maker. He did as he was told.
Later in Seraph's life, both his parents were killed when their inn was burnt to the ground. He was only 21 and on a food run to a near by city. When he got home he found out from the ashes of the inn. Death was brought to his door and he realized how easy it was to just cease to exist. From that time on he was on a personal quest to find a way not to die. He looked through relic stores and caves to find anything that could lead him to the fountain of youth.
Seven years later, he ate at the home of a poor couple in lower Italy. He talked of his search for immortality and they listened well. He drank from an old wood cup. He thought nothing of it. He continued to search for another ten years until he noticed something fairly odd in the mirror. He hadn't changed. Hadn't aged a day. That had made him feel off for the next 27 years. At the age of 65 he still hadn't aged. Had he found immortality? He remembered the old couple…then the cup. It suddenly clicked. The holy grail was spoken to have the ability to give immortality to the drinker. He thought it was a myth because just a few hours after Jesus Christ drank from it he was dead. He thought the item was cursed. It, in fact, was cursed.
Immortality is a curse. Seeing the world crumble and seeing wars kill thousands to millions of people. The plague. People changing from innocent to violent. The whole thing disturbing so disturbing that the nightmares are always there to greet him in his sleep. He decided to sleep and hide. Hopefully when he awoke the world would be different. The world was different. More violent. He woke during the bombings in France during the second world war. He was sleeping in a tomb under a church. He found out quickly that not only was he immortal he was hard to kill. He assumed chopping off his head would kill him but bullets don't seem to kill him nor do many things that could kill a mortal.
With that being said, the immortality brought more then just curses. People notice things like lack of aging. The illuminati have been searching for him for a long time. To test him and find out how he became immortal.
He also started hearing stories of the slayers and their watchers. He searched them out just as hard as he searched for immortality. He found the watchers council in the early 90's. He showed them his talents and ability to train. Soon enough he became a watcher himself within a few weeks the watchers council was gone. Frustrated, he searched for some one who knew where he could find some slayers to train and protect.
He finds himself in Vegas as its the cespool of sin and there has got to be slayers here…somewhere.
