Magic Pusher

3 pt. per level Quality

Some sorcerers find their niche not in the control of primal forces, but in their ability to augment those abilities in others. And many of them have realized what a lucrative business this is. It is also a very rare ability — individuals who pursue life as a Magic Pusher tend to have to choose between developing it, or developing their own Sorcerous gifts.

On a successful Willpower/Magic Pusher roll, the target gains the SLs of the roll in Sorcery levels. These levels of Sorcery cap at the level of the Magic Pusher — if a character has a Magic Pusher level of 5, they can bestow no more than 5 levels of Sorcery to a target. Due to the very nature by which a Magic Pusher augments the sorcerous abilities of others, they can attempt to take control of these Sorcery levels for themselves on a contested roll of Willpower/Magic Pusher versus a Willpower/Sorcery from the victim (using the original Sorcery levels, not the boosted ones). If the victim fails this roll (and those already addicted to magic automatically fail it), the Magic Pusher takes the victim's Sorcery levels and can cast any spell the victim knows. Once the Magic Pusher has "spent" the stolen Sorcery levels, the victim will regain them and come down off of the resulting high, being able to only half-remember losing control and the spells that were worked. Anyone who loses control during more than two power boosts a month must make an addiction check.
