Background
Keith was born in Ireland and was raised by both his mother and father. His parents were quite active in the mystical community before Keith was born and only barely left when he was born. This decision was made by both his parents that the world of magic was too dangerous to be involved in especially with a child whom might not have 'the gift' like themselves. Though they later returned to the area of magic and the occult when they discovered Keith had a natural talent or 'the gift' that needed to be harnessed in the midst of his childhood.
Keith first displayed an ability for magic when he accidentally lost control while reading out of a book he found in the attic when he was ten and setting fire to not only a candle, but the desk where it sat. His mother was shocked at first with her son showing such an amplitude for magic, but then realized he had extreme powerful potential and decided to venture into owning a magic shop with Keith's father that year while also beginning instruction with Keith on how to control his gift.
Keith grew up from the age of ten until the age of nineteen living above his families magic shop. Each day after school he was expected to either come back to do homework and study in the shop or when he got old enough, to work as a cashier and stock boy for the family shop. When it was off hours at the shop Keith was formally instructed by both his parents in the arts of sorcery and general magic. From this training Keith has a high aptitude for most things magical. Though he has a fairly steady record of not being able to completely control all aspects of his spell casting. In effect to this fact, Keith usually tries to keep his magical doings to fairly straightforward rituals and spells. Though has been known to at least try his hand in more complex magic.
Keith moved into town after attending two years of college in Dublin studying only history. He now is attending one of the local colleges finishing a bachelors degree in Ancient History with a minor in Chemistry. He usually chooses to do most his research on the inner workings of most religious cults and aspects of ancient cultures. Citing that most cultures had some group of people whom were gifted with certain odd gifts throughout history. He has a fairly extensive library of magic books that he bought from his parents shop. He keeps these sensitive material around his bedroom, though he also keeps all his other books assorted around his apartment.
Recent Events
Chapter 1: The Relationship War
Lets try to explain this so everyone can understand…
Keith met Taylor a night before meeting Tristan. Being the man that he is, Keith asked Tristan to be his roommate/boyfriend and still try things with Taylor under the context that Tristan was alright with it and that Taylor agreed to it.
Keith is madly in love with Tristan. Tristan is also in love with Keith at the same time as being in love with Jeff. Jeff was in liking with Tristan though freaked out when Tristan and Keith tried to reveal their relationship to him. While earlier in the day Keith and Tristan were walk-in on in a 'compromising position' by Keith's second love interest Taylor.
A scene ensued with each party being thoroughly confused and spat at by most others involved to the point where: Tristan ran out of the house to the auto garage, Keith collapsed on the couch crying over Tristan leaving, Jeff wanting to GTFO of the apartment, and Taylor walking in yet again into the middle of a drama filled scene further complicating things to the point of seemingly no return.
Chapter 2: The Resolution
Keith and Tristan broke-up. Though this is only a technicality, Keith and Tristan still plan to be best friends and roommates while Tristan's new found boyfriend, Jeff, allows Tristan to stay at Keith's apartment. They both seem happy about the situation and promise to try to stay in each others lives no matter what. They also vow to step in front of danger for each other if it ever came down to it. (Which knowing Buffy, only is a matter of time.)
Chapter 3: The Calm before the Storm
Keith and Tristan are falling apart from recent events of Tristan starting to work on some old woman's house. Keith has met Jasper whom seems to be quite a nice bloke, aside from the whole being an ex-vampire thing. He also has bumped into two interesting characters being associated with the magic shop in town. Ian and Daphne are quite beyond his reasonable recognition of people. What's going on in town? Did Queer As Folk drop some Buffy drama in his lap or what? In any case, Keith feels something large is coming, though doesn't understand what yet.
Keith seems to think Jasper might be in danger and is trying to keep his student safe as well… interesting how life works. Tristan has left town and Taylor isn't anywhere to be found. Maybe he died? Who knows! He also met one of his idols Seraph recently… what are the odds?!
Chapter 4: The Storm!
Tristan has moved back home to Texas leaving no notice to his ex-boyfriend that he was leaving. Which saddens Keith, though he should be able to get over it for the both of them. Jasper has recently died, though Keith doesn't know how, he honors him for being the hero that he is. He met Andrew, one of Jasper's exes, and hit it off quite nicely with him. They seem to be psudo-dating. Keith is starting to feel like he's stuck in an endless cycle of relationships.
Keith went out recently to the arcade to try to get Jasper off his mind. Well that might have been all good, if it wasn't for mystical happenings! He got sucked into battling Mummies and got a prize a staff. Little did he know that it would deactivate the powers of his people. Yeah, Keith helped stop the usage of magic! Now he's out to find out how to reverse it!
Freaky Occasions
- Obsessed Cow Dude reeks havoc on The Strip - might want to check-out what that was all about…
- Mansion Possessed by Former Warlock on Outskirts of Town - Might be good practice to rid Vegas of crazy possessed house ghosts. Might keep that in mind if his powers go public.
- He attended a night at the arcade and ended up fighting mummies and in possession of a scepter. Yep, just a normal Sunday night…
Future Plans
- Stop Jeff from making the occult public knowledge.
- Train with Seraph's Slayer and improve his combat training.
- Figure out what this Adrian is up to and why he seems to have a natural ability to suck information out of Keith.
- Befriend Daphne more since she seems to be turning around.
- Find a common ground with Ian where he might be able to research with the fellow.
- Train Damian in the art of the Occult… SLOWLY…
