Background
Synopsis
Ethel Stuart is just one of any number of old retired ladies, complete with children who never visit her and grandchildren who she sends checks to for every birthday and Christmas. The only thing which really distinguishes her from any of the other countless old ladies is that she is the founder of the I Shall Wear Purple Club in Las Vegas. This distinction generally means that she's ornerier then most Old Ladies. You have been warned.
To those who know things of the world beyond what they see on TV, Ethel is a fairly well known figure— and she's always called Ethel Louise Stuart, or at least Ethel Louise. She 'retired' over twenty years ago to settle in Las Vegas, but her retirement never really stopped people from coming to her. She knows too many secrets, and her famous mixtures are said to cure— or cause— nearly any ill, and so she was often visited by those curious or in need. She even helped, if one could pay enough; if one can't, she quite often would accept a simple favor owed in lieu of payment. The wise knew better then to owe the Ethel Louise Stuart, though. There's some rumors still that circle about her 'youth' in Boston before her retirement— she was considered one of the premier Enchantresses in New England, with a dangerous streak to her.
