The character is still alive, just so happens their particular breed of demon doesn't require oxygen, or any other gases for that matter, to survive. They cannot drown or suffocate and gain +1 to resist airborne toxins. The difficulty to notice the character is not breathing is equal to the distance to the noticer, in feet. For example, if someone is two feet away, they need two success levels on a Perception/Notice roll to tell the character is not breathing.
