2 pt. Drawback
"If only you knew the power of the Dark Side…" A character with this drawback has been taught their magical arts by a demon…and not a nice, fluffy demon, either — this one is a nasty, evil, corruptive Demon. The demon likely tricked the character into becoming their thrall through lies and deception. Usually, the demon will attempt to trick or lure its student into performing more and more questionable acts. It will, in time, attempt to make the character believe that they are irrevocably evil, and have no choice but to continue down their dark path.
At this point, some are so distraught that they break down or attempt to commit suicide — which is, sometimes, exactly what the demon was attempting to accomplish in the first place. Other students may attempt to leave or to turn on their tutor, at which point they learn just how difficult it is to fight against the demon's demands. Once a character has agreed to be taught by a demon — regardless of whether they know its a demon or not — the demon surreptitiously makes a pact with the student, and that pact prevents the character from attacking the demon and allows the demon to walk through any wards that the character attempts to erect against it.
This is strictly a roleplaying Drawback, but suffice it to say that your character probably won't be learning any of the /real/ truth about magic, and the black arts are the only arts that they'll be learning.
