So I lost.

I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all. It reminds me of the time before I changed when the cheerleaders used to shove me around in the hallway.

I don’t lose now. That’s the point isn’t it? Of being a super hero? In the end you’re supposed to be the one who always prevails. In the end you’re supposed to be the one who’s still standing. Not the geek with the bloody nose that needs to be saved.

What were they? I’m not sure. Mutant freaks of some kind. I have never felt anything hit THAT hard. I’ve never seen anything that could take a punch like that. And yet… Sam knocked one’s head clean off its shoulders.

She’s stronger then she looks. Of all people I shouldn’t be surprised by that.

This is my Peter Parker day. I’m allowed one I guess. One day to mope and whine and hate the world and bitch about how Mary Jane got hurt and it is all my fault. God I hate this emo feeling.

I gotta wonder if this is why John Conner was always so bitchy. People go around telling you you’re special and you’re going to do great shit and yet you can never do great enough shit soon enough to make it all good.

At least now I know the truth. My broken nose is healing. The cuts on my arms are all but gone. I have my own personal terminator now – as soon as I can figure out how to get her metal parts back inside her fleshy parts. Hopefully she hasn’t blown a fuse while she’s been offline.

At least I know there is a point to it all. And I’m closer to finding out what it is.

But if I start on some ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ rant, do me a favor. Shoot me.
