Your character has huge, phenomenal pulsing brain-power. You can do
complex equations off the top of your head, comprehend advanced concepts, and
you rock at Trivial Pursuit. Your character might not be the social
butterfly, but that's okay…all those popular people are going to work for
you someday.
Brainiacs gain +2 to Intelligence and +1 to another mental attribute of
their choosing, none of which can raise an attribute above 6. They also get
4 skill levels that they can spend as they choose between Computers, Science,
and Knowledge. This also comes with a couple downsides; a 2 pt. Obsession
for the project they're currently working on, and a -1 to any roll involving
social skills.
(NOTE: Nerd is a slightly cheaper, slightly less effective version of
Brainiac, and should be considered for characters less focused on
academics.)
